Obama Nation
With the news of yet another horrible selection of Obama's power party, I'm beginning to wonder if we* picked the right guy . . . Oh wait a minute, that's right, I never thought he was a good choice, yeah yeah that's it . . .taxes, taxes, taxes . . . can't pay your taxes, can't lead our country . . .
Oh God in heaven, when will this foolish nation realize her mistakes?!?!?!
* 'we,' of course, here is used very, extremely, wildly, openly loose.

What really makes my head spin is not that President Obama is failing to show any leadership or integrity, but rather that a majority of the people in our nation support and defend his actions. I fear that the American church has lost the battle for the hearts of Americans (as a whole). Unfortunately, the consequence of this is that the people who disagree with his policies and political appointments must reluctantly go along for the ride. We shouldn't be surprised when lost people behave like lost people, but my head spins and my heart hurts when self-professing Christians act contrary to the Word of God.
Good point, Brad. It is so true that the people of this nation, generally speaking, are blindly following a BLIND leader.
Guess this greatly emphasizes the utter need for the church to stand up and take notice of her calling: make disciples, baptize them, teaching them, and TRUSTING HIM.
Not to mention the fact that we can't ONLY notice our calling, rather we have to CARRY OUT our calling . . .
Good words Brad, good word indeed.
I want to make one clarification to the position I've stated above. Although I feel that secular forces have won the fight for our nation's heart and soul, I have not lost hope in the ability of the local church to win individuals to faith in Christ. We must continue to fulfill the Great Comission, but I am becoming convinced that this can only be accomplished one heart at a time in our country's current moral environment.
